On Friday the local paper, the Sussex Express, ran this little article. If I'd been smart enough to send them a photo with me in it, it seems they'd have used that. I guess showing images from the booklet I'd given them would've been too much like advertising, rather than being a story about a person.... But amazingly, this was enough to pique the interest of BBC Radio Sussex, which yesterday rang up the bookshop mentioned at the end to ask how to get get in touch with me. Skylark very kindly closed for five minutes to literally run a note over to my house, and it was all arranged for me -- and my son JJ, if he would -- to turn up at the studio in Brighton this morning. Hear us on the breakfast show. This evening was the launch party, a celebration with lots of good friends. Along with the red wine were bean wraps, cucumber sushi, and courgette chocolate cake, all from the booklet. Thanks to everyone who came and made this such a lovely evening! |
